Brass orchestral and jazz instrument

Brass orchestral and jazz instrument
The trombone possesses a powerful, majestic, thunderous, and rolling sound in loud dynamics, yet in quiet playing (piano) it sounds extraordinarily soft, warm, and mysterious.
It consists of a cylindrical brass tube with a sound bell and a movable U-shaped slide. By extending the slide to varying distances, the musician increases the overall tube length and lowers the instrument’s pitch.
